London October 13 - 15
This is the quick trip during which I found our flat at 8 Cromwell Place in South Kensington, London,

London November 4 - 18 (part with Seth)
I was in London with Seth to move into our new flat together!!! Yeah. We flew over together and a friendly flight attendant explained "Guy Fochs night in London means there will be fireworks, just like Thanksgiving in America". We found this very comical. We did see fireworks in London on Guy Fochs night... but not a big fireworks display like we expected. We had walked to Hyde Park to look for a big city-sponsored display, but instead on our way home, we passed by the Imperial College where a bunch of college students were shotting fireworks off the top of their dorm. We stopped to watch and had to take shelter under the balcony of the student health center since there were lots of big chunks of bunt firework pieces raining down on our head. It was a good memory.

Oh, I also had to go to London to teach a Business Basics class, teach in the Graduate Training Program Foundation Module. Thus Seth went home back to Chicago before I was able to. It was so nice though to move into our next new home together. We had to sleep on the futon in the small bedroom, since we had no furniture. But, the flat was furnished with the basics, and we got on well. The closet in our main bedroom hadn't been built yet, the blinds hadn't arrived from Habitat yet, we had no TV or radio, but no matter! We had a great time and we moved in TOGETHER!!

I remember going to the little Hart's grocery store in South Ken to buy groceries and then I'd come home and fix dinner. I do remember being a little uneasy in the flat the first few nights since I was sleeping just under the fire escape windows. I was up on the 4th (read 5th if you're American) floor, but I was uneasy until I hung a fitted sheet over the window at night for a temporary shade.

This MIGHT be the trip where Seth came up to join me and Mark & Tara and Seth & I visited Tim in New York. He was dating an italian New Yorker, Karin, at the time. I had to teach a Business Basics class.

Night of Nov 4 in the Holiday Inn on the Cromwell Road just near Gloucester Tube Station. We moved into our flat together on Monday, Nov 5, thus, I only expensed US$ 159.60 in lodging expenses for this trip.
Other expenses were US$111.28 for transporation & a tip for 4.82. A very cheap trip for US$275.70 total in expenses.
