Registration For the Penland School of Crafts Summer Sessions Has Just Begun--and Though It's Summer, the $510 Tuition Fee Remains Unchanged!
Summer classes for the Penland School don't begin until May 30, but
summer registration has already begun so whether it's throwing pots or
taking pictures that strikes your fancy, don't delay because at $510 per
week, including room, board and full instruction, the classes are bound
to fill up in a hurry.
Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains (in Western
North Carolina), the Penland School of Crafts has been educating
beginners and advanced artists for years. An oasis in the desert of
overpriced art schools, it's only $275 (or $510 for two weeks) for a full
week's tuition and an additional $235 (dorm accommodations) to $560
(private single with bath) for your accommodations and three hearty
meals a day.
The summer classes, running from May 30 through September 4,
include amongst other things, drawing and painting, printmaking, iron
work, metals and woodworking.
To register for a class or to request a catalog, you can reach the Penland
School at 828/765-2359. You can also check out their Web site at
www.penland.org.
