When Matt Ballin, a Los Angeles native, enrolled in Ohio State master's
program in theater, cousin Jan called Myra to ask two importatn questions.
What kind of a coat does a young man need in Columbus in the winter?
And how does one take proper care of a very used Datsun during the winter
weather?
The answer was Myra and Bill will adopt you. There was
room and board when Matt and his Dad first arrived in Columbus, many meals
for the next three years, laundry priveleges, technical instruction
on the fine points of computers, and a fabulous graduation party in Matt's
honor.
Beacuse of such generosity, a firm bond has been established between
these two branches of the Hankins family after many years of barely knowing
each other.
