A Vending Machine
Vending machines are BIG in Japan. We pass at least 10 vending machines when we walk to the station every morning. That is an average of about 1 vending machine per minute - however, they do tend to be clumped together, so averaging it out really isn't fair. On the way to work, we can buy cold soda, juice, hot tea, cold tea, hot coffee, cold coffee, cigarettes. beer, wine and (in the winter-time only) hot soup from the vending machines we pass. By walking just a little further, we can find milk, wiskey, vodka and sake!! We love the vending machines. Tara is especially pleased with the hot corn soup in the winter and Seth wants to hunt down the alleged vending machine that you can buy used school-girl panties from!!
