This was my favorite spot at the Radisson! If I wasn't sleeping, chances are that I was layng in the whirlpool in our bathroom. It was so nice to have a bath with jets right in the room. If I got too hot laying there, I could sit up by the window and enjoy a gorgeous tropical view while the wind blew by and cooled me off. This was bliss!

We were really lucky to get upgraded to a suite here at the Radisson. And, we were the firist people to EVER stay in room number 310 at the Radisson Plaza Beach Resort - Mauritius. The hotel actually wasn't officially open yet. I know this for a fact since I had tried making a reservation at the Radisson through the U.S. Reservations number and they told me the hotel was not open yet. But, when we were in a taxi going to a market, the driver pointed out the new Radisson hotel that had just opened a week ago. We asked the driver on the way back if he could stop at the new hotel for us to have a look. And have a look we did! We joined a tour of about 10 people who were being shown the hotel. After the tour, we asked for the price on a room that had a nice semi-circular balcony. After a long wait, it turned out that the rooms with the semi-circular balconies were not finished yet, but that there was a suite with an even larger balcony that we could stay in for a disounted rate. As soon as we saw the room they were offering, us, we jumped at the opportunity.
