The pattern established during about 30 hours of no labour was that Sean would not do well during contractions. This was established through five "oxitocyn challenges" where Tara was given a drug to induce three mild contractions and Sean's heartrate was watched. The first challenge seemed to indicate that Sean would be well. However, the next four challenges showed that whenever Tara had a mild contraction, Sean's heartrate would drop - this was a bad thing. Basically ,this time was just BORING! Thankfully, Seth, Eileen, and the phone kept the boredom from becoming unbearable.
